Central New York Information
Although a local volunteer board governs each Learning Center, all Centers adhere to central administrative and clinical policies. In addition, all tutor--scholars are required to receive training and certification in the Orton-Gillingham approach, thereby assuring standardized learning programs throughout the system. Since 2004, the corporation and its 55 Centers have been fully accredited by IMSLEC (International Multisensory Structured Language Education).
The Scottish Rite Masonic bodies of Syracuse and Utica formed Children's Dyslexia Center of Central New York (formerly Central New York 32nd Degree Masonic Learning Center for Children ) or CNY103 and are located at the Eastern Star Homein Oriskany New York. We became operational in February 2005 and are the second Center in New York State.
