What do Master Gardeners Do?
Volunteer in local schools, hold plant clinics, plant demonstration gardens, and participate in many other activities to share knowledge and enrich communities.

Volunteers contribute time and talents to their communities whenever a need is recognized.
Purpose of the Alabama Master Gardener Volunteer Program
-To increase the availability of horticultural information to Alabama
-To improve quality of life with community projects related to our mission
Program Requirements
-Receive instruction in gardening practices and pest control
-Conduct 50 hours of approved volunteer service
Selection Criteria
-Participants are selected primarily based on their commitment to volunteering in their communities as an educational outreach of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System
