Our Company's Story:

About ten years ago, we inquired about purchasing Mel-O-Creme and continued to talk with the former owners year after year. Through the years, we developed a relationship and during the 2015 season, the owners of Mel-O-Creme contacted us and asked if we were still interested in purchasing the Holland location. Owning Mel-O-Creme has always been a dream, so we eagerly began the process of purchasing Mel-O-Creme. Through the process it became known that we were not going to be able to keep the original name and would have to change the name. We were slightly disappointed because everyone knows the ice cream store as Mel-O-Creme, but understood the situation. After months of name ideas from family, friends and ourselves, we thought of the name, "Chitter Chatter Ice Cream" and it stuck! Even though we are going to be operating under a new name, we are going to have the same menu as Mel-O-Creme and will be mentored by the former owners. We cannot wait for our new family venture and to continue bringing the community the ice cream they know and love!
