Christ Church is a part of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio (www.dohio.org), which represents the Episcopal Church in northern Ohio. The Episcopal Church in the U.S.A. (www.episcopalchurch.org) is an autonomous national church which, in turn, is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion (www.anglicancommunion.org), a loose confederation of churches around the world that owe their origin to the Church of England and maintain a “communion” with it through the Archbishop of Canterbury, hence the name “Anglican." The Episcopal Church stands in both Protestant and Catholic traditions. This “middle-way” approach characterizes our views of faith, worship, and organization. We are a diverse church, representing many cultures, races, ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, and points of view.
