Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church

We are a Christian congregation, a denominational member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, located in the Southern Illinois District.

We hold the Holy Scriptures in the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired Word of God. We also hold the Lutheran Confessions to be a correct exposition of the Scriptures. These documents norm our teaching and preaching.

Vision Statement: The purpose of this congregation shall be to spread and strengthen the Kingdom of God by:

A. Nourishing its members through the preaching of the Word of God and responsible administration of the sacraments;

B. Equipping all members for mature, fruitful Christian living;

C. Encouraging Christian fellowship among the members:

D. Reaching out to members of the surrounding community and to the entire world with the message of the gospel;

E. Contributing to the total welfare of the community through the influence and activity of individual members, and by speaking and acting corporately where feasible and appropriate.
