Christ United Methodist Church, known as "the Selinsgrove Mission," was founded in the Spring of 1930, by 20 God-loving, dedicated people. The first service was held in the Odd Fellow's Hall, located at the corner of Market and East Chestnut Streets, Selinsgrove.
January 25, 1931, the church building was dedicated, located on the corner of 8th and Mill Streets, Selinsgrove.
May 4, 2015, fire destroyed the church building. The fellowship has met in a temporary location at 570 South High Street Selinsgrove until the new church construction is complete.
The new church construction, located at 145 Disciple Drive, Selinsgrove, sits on 18.5 acres of beautiful field on top of a hill. This is also the home of the Outdoor Worship Center, which was constructed prior to the fire.
The people of Christ United Methodist Church have offered the hope of Jesus Christ to the people of Selinsgrove and throughout the world, through ministry and mission.
