The church of our Lord stands firmly established in the love and eternal purpose of God.
In the beginning (Acts 2:42) the church continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine.
The Apostle Paul reminds us (Rom 6:17) that we have "obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine" and (2 Tim 1:13) to "hold fast the pattern of sound words which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus."
The pattern means going to the bible to discover what God wants His people to believe, be and do until Jesus returns. It embraces what we are to believe and do in order to be saved. It embraces the christian lifestyle, it embraces the elements of true worship collectively and individually for God's glory and our spiritual benefit. It embraces the work and organizational structure of the church. The pattern gives the church her distinct identity of nature and form.
