More about Church of Restoration

Statement of Faith
• We believe the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God, without any error, the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
• We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
• We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is true God and man. He died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate.
• We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and therefore lost. Only through mankind confessing the confession of Romans 10:9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. In addition to this we believe that by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit mankind’s spiritual life is achieved and maintained.
• We believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely apart from man's works, and is possessed by any and all who have faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
• We believe in a regenerated church membership: that is, persons old enough to understand their need for Jesus Christ and, of their own free will, accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior.
• We believe that baptism is by immersion and the Lord's Supper is a memorial to His suffering and death on the cross. These are ordinances to be observed by the church in its present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means for man's salvation.
• We believe in the personal, bodily, imminent, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His Second Coming inspires believers for dynamic ,zealous life and service for Him while waiting for His return.
• We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the everlasting punishment and separation from God of the unsaved in hell.
• We believe in the autonomy of the local church. The church shall manage its own affairs
• and shall not be subject to any other religious body or organization.
• We believe in the fullness of the infallible scriptures though out the entire Holy Bible. We believe that a man/woman should not add nor take away from the Holy Scriptures but that we should not let Gods precepts and statues depart from us, but that we should meditate in it both day and night that we may observe to do according to all that is written there in.
• We believe that all scriptures is God inspired and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and instruction into righteousness.
• We believe that God gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelist, some pastors and some teachers for the work of ministry and the edification of the saints.
• We believe in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and all there workings as stated in 1 Corinthians 12: 3-14 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many.
• We believe that marriage/ intimate relationship concerning girlfriend or boyfriend is reserved and was intended from the foundation the world to be between man and woman and not of the same gender.
• We believe that while woman have many operations in the church and in ministries of the church such as apostles, pastors, teachers, prophets, evangelist and many more; the offices of a Bishop and deacon are reserved for the man of God as stated in 1 Timothy 3: 1-13 This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop,[a] he desires a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; 3 not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money,[b] but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; 4 one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence 5 (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); 6 not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
Qualifications of Deacons
8 Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money, 9 holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience. 10 But let these also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons, being found blameless. 11 Likewise, their wives must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things. 12 Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. 13 For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
• We believe in the laying on hands.
