Cicchini Custom Clothier

Master tailor Paul Cicchini, an 88-year-old Italian immigrant, opened Cicchini Custom Clothier in downtown Detroit 63 years ago, when well-dressed men first understood the personal and professional benefits of a well-made suit.

Cicchini began learning his trade at the age of 6 in Abruzzi, Italy, where he lived with his parents until his father moved the family to America, escaping Mussolini in the days before the Second World War.

Today, the bespoke clothing shop, located on Old Woodward Avenue in downtown Birmingham, Mich., is one of just a few such shops in the Midwest.

The shop offers custom-made garments for men and women who appreciate impeccable clothing.
