Cinema Fund

We are dedicated to giving voice to those living off the digital grid by bringing online content to 'offline' communities. Through our Digital Divide Film Festival we connect the best ideas from these communities through digital storytelling, online content exchanges, and open air cinema screenings of films exchanged online through platforms such as FilmFreeway.com. For many, this will be the first time they see digital content streamed directly from the Internet.

We will be using inflatable cinema screens and bicycle/solar-powered projection systems. The unique setup and backdrops will attract many people from many different backgrounds. Since we will be staging Digital Divide Film Festivals in multiple countries to communities that speak multiple languages, films that use imagery and sound to communicate will be appreciated over those that rely on dialogue or subtitles.
