City of Dallas BEST

The Black Employees Support Team was formed in 1986 when several concerned female employees came together to examine the status of African-American women employed by the City of Dallas.

In 1989, BEST extended its membership to include all men and women working for the City of Dallas.

BEST conducts networking and career development events to enhance employees’ potential with the City. In addition to professional opportunities, BEST hosts Black History Month programs and other cultural events.

BEST members are City of Dallas employees who are actively committed to the betterment of municipal government.
