City of Gary Recycling Dept.

Our Recycling Dept. offers the following Free Recycling Services:
Curbside Recycling-The collection of paper, plastic, cardboard and glass (Bin at curbside by 7 a.m. for pickup)
E-Recycilng: Collection of unusable or unwanted electronics (working or non-working)
Educational Services: We will provide bins and information on how and what to recycle
Services also offered to: Small Businesses, Churches and Schools
Textile Recycling: Collection of unwanted clothing (clothes, shoes, bed linens and towels)
Household Hazardous Waste Collection: Batteries, aerosols, old medication and paints, etc.
Household Hazardous Wastes: are products that have harmful chemicals in them. Special handling and disposal is needed for these products.
What to recycle: PAPER, PLASTIC, ALUMINUM, GLASS AND CARDBOARD (Please note you can place everything in the same Bin)
Brown Bag Collection- Grass/Leaf pickup (SEASONAL PICKUP)
Drop-Off Locations for Recycle, Tex-tile, and E-Waste ( No Brown Bags)
