The City of La Habra Heights was incorporated on December 4, 1978 as part of a community effort to preserve the uniquely residential and rural atmosphere. La Habra Heights is a General Law City located in Los Angeles County, California. La Habra Heights, located just 25 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, is a picturesque community comprised of hillside estates, grasslands, oak woodlands, avocado and citrus groves, riding trails, and panoramic views.
La Habra Heights consists of 6.2 square miles of land and 42 miles of roads. The City of La Habra Heights provides municipal services that includes Administration, Community Development, Public Works, and Fire Protection. Law Enforcement and Animal Control services are contracted with Los Angeles County. The budget for FY 2016-17 is estimated to be $4,852,003.
