Mission Statement
The City of McHenry is dedicated to providing its citizens, businesses and visitors with the highest quality of programs and services in a customer-oriented, efficient and fiscally responsible manner.

General Information
The City of McHenry operates under the Council-Administrator form of government that combines the political leadership of an elected Mayor and seven Aldermen with the managerial experience of an appointed City Administrator. Our primary purpose is to serve the needs of our citizens. City Council meetings are held at 7:30PM on the first and third Mondays of each month in the City Council Chambers located on the first floor of the McHenry Municipal Center, 333 S. Green Street.
