The mission of the Port Arthur Health Department is to:
1) prevent communicable and vaccine-preventable diseases
2) promote health and wellness through health promotion, education, nutritional food and counseling
3) to educate and prepare the community for natural or bio-terrorism disasters
4) to maintain an overall maximum well status
5) to link clients with appropriate health and social services.
