Information Concerning Policies for Posting on Facebook and Page Monitoring

Thank you for becoming a fan of the City of Woodburn. Please note the following guidelines on posting statements, status updates, links, comments, questions, information, images, etc. of any content on the City of Woodburn Facebook page.

* Posts must relate to the topics being discussed by the City of Woodburn and must relate to the City of Woodburn and not contain spam, advertising, solicitations, promotion of non-City events or services, advocate illegal activity or violence, promote products or political organizations, or infringe on copyrights, trademarks or intellectual property rights of others.

* Posts must not contain abusive or vulgar language or images, sexually explicit subject matter, hate speech, derogatory terms, offensive content or links to any inappropriate sexual content.

* Posts must not contain personal or defamatory remarks about a person's age, education, ethnicity, race, family status, gender, national origin, class, physical ability or qualities, religion, sexual orientation, thought processes or personality.

* Posts are the opinion of the poster only and do not imply endorsement or agreement by the City of Woodburn, its elected officials or employees.

* Posts must not endorse candidates or a particular stance on current ballot measures.

* By posting, you agree not to misrepresent your identity or affiliation or post libelous/defamatory content.

* Posts will be removed that contain private and confidential information.

* Posts will be removed that conduct or encourage illegal activity or provide information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems.

* The City reserves the right to determine which posts are unacceptable for this page. Fans that repeatedly violate this policy may be prohibited.

* Submission of a post constitutes acceptance of this policy, which may be revised at any time.

Monitoring

This Facebook page is monitored by the City of Woodburn’s Communications Coordinator. The page is monitored Monday through Friday, and as needed on weekends. We strive to reply to comments, questions and posts within 24 hours.

Posts that are deemed inappropriate/objectionable will be deleted. Complaints and alerts from users about posts or comments will be reviewed for content violations. If reported posts are found to be objectionable or inappropriate, they will be deleted by the Administrators of this page.
