STATEMENT OF BASIC BELIEFS



1. We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired word of God and the basis for our beliefs. We hold that the Holy Bible was divinely inspired and is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man.

2. Christ, The Eternal Son of God was conceived of the Holy

Ghost and born of the Virgin, Mary.

3. In the Death, burial and bodily resurrection of Christ by

which he made provision for the redemption of man from Sin.

4. Christ is today at the right hand of the father as the

Intercessor.

5. In God eternally existing in three persons: namely the Father, the son, & the Holy Spirit.

6. We believe the work of the Holy Ghost is to comfort, convict of sin, lead and guide the believer in the ways of truth according to the new testament

7. That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins, that justification, regeneration and the new birth, through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

8. In sanctification through faith in the blood of Christ, through the word, and by the Holy Ghost.

9. Holiness is to be God’s standard of living for his people.

10. In Water Baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

11. We believe in all of the gifts of the spirit as taught in the New Testament.

12. We believe in the Lord’s Supper & washing of the saints’ feet.

13. We believe that the Lord Jesus will come again, that we who are alive at his coming shall not precede them that are asleep in Christ Jesus, but that, if we are abiding in Him, we shall be caught up with the risen saints to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall ever be with the Lord!

14. We believe in future judgment in which every man shall

appear before God to be judged according to his deeds in

this life.

15. We believe that glorious and everlasting life is assured to all who believe in, and obediently follow, Jesus Christ; and that finally the impenitent shall suffer eternally in hell.
