Clay Pickering Orthodontics

Dr. Clay Pickering was born in Denton, Texas in 1959. His mother was a teacher in Pilot Point, while his father was completing a Master’s degree at North Texas State University. He grew up in Richardson, Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University in 1983. Dr. Pickering holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth. He has served as a youth pastor and has taught middle school math and science.
Dr. Pickering graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1994 where he was member of the Odontological Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and the Christian Medical and Dental Society. He practiced general dentistry with Dr. Jan Jenkins in Denton before pursuing a specialty in orthodontics. He completed his studies in orthodontics with a Master of Science from the University of Texas at Houston.
Dr. Pickering and his wife Jody are the parents of Carrie, Katie, Caleb and Kelsey. Jody works for Sabre as a business analyst. Clay and Jody love to hike in the mountains and walk on the beach. They are active in their church and community. Dr. Pickering also admits to a passion for golf.
