What is floating, you may ask? Simply put, floating is laying in a shallow pool of warm water infused with 40% Epsom salt in an atmosphere of total calm and warmth. Floating can be used for several reasons, such as a means for total relaxation, stress relief, an alternative way to healing physical ailments, and aches & pains. To put it even simpler, floating is the most fun you can have doing nothing.

In not so simple term, floatation involves floating on top of a ten inch pool of salt water in a specifically designed tank. The tank resembles a large enclosed capsule. The capsule is built to reduce all outside distractions, such as sight, sound, tactial sensations, and gravity. Up to 700 lbs of Epsom salt is added to the water to create optimal buoyancy. The water is warmed to a temperature of 94.5 degrees, or skin's surface temperature. All these elements help create an atmosphere in which one can achieve a profound feeling of relaxation and well-being.
