The Cobb County Water System partners with our wholesale provider, the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority, in distributing clean, safe water to our customers. Cobb County water is obtained from the Chattahoochee River and Lake Allatoona and treated at two plants. The James E. Quarles Treatment Plant located on Lower Roswell Road in Marietta treats water withdrawn from the Chattachoochee River. The Hugh Wyckoff Treatment Plant is located on Mars Hill Road in Acworth and treats Lake Allatoona water. The Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority also maintains nine storage tanks across the county with a combined capacity of approximately 40 million gallons.
