James and Sandy Cobb opened Cobb's Liquor as a family business in 2001. His daughter Tenneil Cobb graduated Wellington High School in 2002. Mr. Cobb is a 1968 graduate of WHS. His father James Cobb Sr. was a Santa Fe railroader and owned and operated rental and bar properties in nearby Blackwell, Oklahoma. The Penny Bar in Blackwell was a favorite before James Cobb Sr.'s death. Blackwell is where James Jr. met his wife of 40+ years Sandy (Silcox) Cobb. Cobb's Liquor Store is a culmination of family and fun.
