Coconino County is a located in the north central part of Arizona. It is part of the Flagstaff, Arizona Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 116,320 during the 2000 census and grew to 134,421, according to 2010 census figures.

Flagstaff serves as the County seat and our administration offices are at 219 E. Cherry Ave.

Coconino is the second largest county by land area in the 48 contiguous U.S., behind San Bernardino County, Calif. With 18,661 square miles the County is larger than nine of the U.S.'s smallest states and is larger than 60 of the world's countries.

The County contains Grand Canyon National Park, Antelope Canyon in Page, Lake Powell, the Coconino and Kaibab National Forests, the Havasupai Nation, parts of the Navajo Nation, Hualapai and Hopi tribes.

Coconino County's large Native American population accounts for nearly 30 percent of its population.
