Derived from the word “codices” meaning a collection books, Codex Collective has evolved into a collaborative art space with locations moving from Atlanta, Brooklyn, and now finally settling in Los Angeles. Much like its definition, each Codex location has held its own share of stories that hides its creative, yet diverse world inside with an unassuming mask.
With artist Joseph Whitt inspiring the project, Codex Collective has dwindled down to two original investors. Now partnered with Mehdi Bolour, the third largest property owner in Los Angeles and leader in the rebeautifulization of Hollywood Boulevard, Codex holds two hundred studios within a two block radius and hopes to become an essential source for aspiring artists in Hollywood by providing a safe and clean environment that allows for growth, networking, and the development of the new revitalized Hollywood Boulevard with its locations spanning from Vine, Ivar, and Cosmo.
