Cody Thompson Goalkeeping

As a coach, my mission is to provide an environment where goalkeepers of all ages and ability levels can develop their talents. I accomplish this by crafting engaging, game realistic training scenarios which develop player’s physical capacities, technical abilities, and tactical understanding. I focus on providing detailed, specific instruction throughout each session to ensure that every goalkeeper leaves a session with a more complete understanding of how to play the most difficult position in sports. Most of all, I foster learning by maintaining a positive, encouraging coaching style.
Individual sessions are tailored to that player’s personal needs and ability level. If you want to improve on shot stopping, handling crosses, dealing with one v. one situations, distribution from the feet or the hands, communicating with your back line, or any other facet of your game, I am here to help. I have worked with goalkeepers at the youth, collegiate, and professional level. Whether you want to improve your game to become your team’s starting goalkeeper, or gain the skills necessary to play at the college or professional level, I will help you achieve your goals.
