In the 1940’s the Aerie was located on North Monroe Street, then moved to the second story of the old Reporter building on South Hanchett Street in the 1950’s. Due to urban renewal in 1968-69 the Aerie moved to East Chicago Road. With retail growth in 2001 that property was sold and new land was purchased on the west side of Coldwater. The current facility, at 331 Butters Ave. opened on February 13, 2002 .The Aerie currently has over 1000 members including two 50 year members: Gene Lewis 1950 and Dick Nichols 1951.

Several special events are held throughout the year. Dessert Auctions for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and Halloween. Feather Parties before Easter and Thanksgiving, a Hunter's Ball, children’s Christmas and Halloween parties. A cash raffle, golf scramble and scholarship events help raise money for our charities. Scholarships are given to high school graduates every year. The first Wednesday in May the Eagles honor local law enforcement officers, fire fighters and EMT’s with a banquet. The Memorial Service for deceased members is held on the fourth Wednesday in May. A family picnic is held on the first Sunday in August, with games for the children, a cookout and entertainment. Members donate to Project Christmas all year long to help the less fortunate, and food drives for the local Food Pantry are held for the Christmas and Easter holidays.
