The Rural Health Science Institute is the home to the Cos Nursing program at the Yreka campus. It offers state off the art classrooms with advanced technological services. The three-semester Vocational Nursing program is designed to prepare the student for beginning practice in nursing care. Theory content provides each student with a basic understanding of the roles and responsibilities of vocational nurses in providing health care to all age groups. After course completion and licensure, students are prepared to function completely and skillfully in a wide variety of health care settings. Certificate: Vocational Nursing (53 units) The next vocational nursing class will begin in January 2011. Another class will start in January 2012.
