This is the official page for Colorado State University Police and Public Safety Team.
The CSU Public Safety Team reports to the university President and coordinates health, safety, emergency and crisis prevention strategies, policies, and education and training, and emergency and disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. The team is responsible for communicating with the university during an emergency.
Colorado State University Police Department is dedicated to the safety of campus. All CSUPD officers are state-certified through the Colorado Police Officers Standards and Training Board. CSUPD officers also are commissioned by the CSU Board of Governors to serve CSU, through Fort Collins Police Services and through Larimer County Sheriff’s Department.
While the department’s primary focus in on safety and security on the CSU campus, CSUPD officers also provide aid and have authority beyond campus boundaries.
