Columbus is a town in Polk County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 999 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Polk County. The Tryon International Equestrian Center, close to the nearby community of Mill Spring will be the location of the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games.HistoryThe Green River Plantation, J. G.
