Community Based Care of Central Florida

In 2017, CBCCF will mark our 13th anniversary of serving children and families. Over the past decade, our organization has expanded from CBC of Seminole to encompass Orange and Osceola counties, working with more than 3,000 vulnerable kids and their families each day.

Since 2004, CBCCF has:

- Facilitated 1,000 adoptions
- Reduced the child removal rate by 25%
- Successfully reunited 69% of families
- Doubled the number of available foster homes

A core value of our organization is the belief that all children have the inalienable right to grow up safe, healthy and fulfilled in families that love and nurture them. In some cases, it’s possible to achieve this through diversion – by working with families on an individual basis to tackle the challenges that can contribute to abuse and neglect … and ultimately allowing kids to reside safely in their homes.

With the support of our community, we are changing the lives of thousands of local children by:

- Providing foster and adoptive homes
- Developing and supporting a network of case management and service providers
- Getting essential school supplies to students in need
- Mentoring and teaching basic life skills to teens
- Providing job-search assistance and an employer network to older kids “aging out” of foster care
- Redirecting children at risk for homelessness or crime to a positive future
