Community Connections is working to create opportunities for people who are struggling to get by and have limited resources.
According to the United Way ALICE report, almost 3,000 people living in Harbor Beach and the surrounding area have limited resources. This includes many who are working and still live below or just above the level of poverty.
This grant has been awarded by the Office of Rural Health and is designed for community members and organizations to work together towards wellness and life satisfaction.
Services include help finding services, help applying for services, help problem solving, how to meet basic needs, food and housing assistance, education programs, job services, life coaching, and more.
Vision: A community where all are accepted and supported in their journey towards wellness and life satisfaction.
Mission: To create an environment in Harbor Beach and the surrounding area that empowers individuals towards independence and self-sufficiency.
