What We Believe

1. We believe in the Trinity of:

God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit; that they are three separate persons co-equal, co-eternal, and each called God in His own right; that they each are all powerful, all knowing, and can be present everywhere at the same time. Each has His own place as the Father is the head of Christ, the Son is the only begotten of the Father, and the Holy Spirit proceeds from both the Father and the Son (Eph. 3:9, Gen. 1:1, John 3:16, Heb. 1:8, Mat. 28:19, John 15:26, John 14:16-17).

2. We believe the Bible is the infallible word of God and Divinely inspired:

The Bible is the authoritative writings of both the Old and New Testament; that they are God’s original and ONLY INFALLIBLE revelation of Himself and His saving activity for all people (II Tim. 3:15-17, Ps 119, II Pet. 1:20-21).
3. We believe in the New Birth:

That when a sinner comes to God and repents of his or her sins, asking forgiveness for all their wrongdoings and willing to make restitution where possible, their sins are forgiven and they are made a new creature in Christ Jesus (I Cor. 5:17, I Pet. 1:23, John 3:3, Acts 3:19, Mat. 18:3).

4. We believe in Sanctification:

That it is the cleansing of the heart from inbred sin, the changing of the carnal nature to the divine nature, and that it is wrought by the cleansing application of the blood of Jesus Christ, THROUGH FAITH AND CONSECRATION TO GOD; that this experience of GRACE begins at the new birth and continues throughout one’s life. Sanctification is a setting apart from carnal things to a sacred, spiritual and holy standing in God (I Thess. 5:23, I Pet. 3:15, II Thess. 2:13, Gal. 5:24, Rom. 6:3-22, I Cor. 3:18).

5. We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit:

That it is an enduement of power from Heaven upon the sin-forgiven, sanctified life, and that it is witnessed to in every case by speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance; That this is the Comforter Jesus said He would send to lead and guide us into all truth (John 15, 16); We urge every Christian to submit their life to God and ask for and believe in Him for this gift of the infilling of the Holy Spirit, that they may be better able to witness for Jesus Christ (Mat. 3:11, John 7:38-39, Acts 2:4, Mark 16:17-18).

6. We believe in water baptism:

That it should be done by complete immersion in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; that it follows the New Birth; that it does not forgive sin but is our outward confession of an inward work (Mat. 28:19, I Pet. 3:21).

7. We believe in Divine healing:

That God has provided in Jesus Christ, complete healing of all diseases and afflictions. The availability of healing is one of the precious gifts from the our Father through Jesus Christ His Son. However, we certainly do not condemn anyone that is having difficulty with their faith and has turned to doctors for help (James 5:14-17, Ex. 15: 26, Is. 53:4-6).

8. We believe in the Church:

Built by Jesus Christ, that it embraces and includes everyone who is born into the household of faith. We believe that the membership in the Church, called the “Church of God”, is obtained by the New Birth and not by joining any organization. However, we do strongly urge every Christian to have a home church so that their efforts can be coordinated with their brethren for the advancement of the Kingdom of God (Mat. 16:18, John 3:3, I Cor. 12:27, Eph. 1:22-23, Col. 1:18-24, Acts 23:28, I Cor. 11:16).

9. We believe in Biblical signs following believers:

We do not endorse or tolerate fanaticism or heresy. We know that when God confirms His word with signs, following it will bring glory to God and will edify the Church. Never forget that false prophets also perform signs and wonders to deceive us and turn us from the truth (Mark 16:17, I Cor. 14:26, Acts 2:22-43, 8:6, Mat. 24:24).

10. We believe in the Holy communion and washing of saints’ feet:

Both should be carried out just as Jesus left us the example to do as he did (I Cor. 11:23, Luke 22:17-20, John 13:1-15).

11. We believe in an eternal heaven and eternal hell:

That heaven is the reward for the righteous and that Hell is the reward for the wicked (Rev. 20:10-15; Rev. Chp 21-22)

12. We believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church:

That Christ’s return is imminent (at any moment) and that He will catch His Church away to heaven before the seven year tribulation begins (I Thess. 4:13-18, I Cor. 15).

13. We believe Homosexuality, Lesbianism, or any type of sexual perversion is a sin:

( Any sin is a transgression of God’s law and whosoever practices sin of any kind will not inherit the Kingdom of God (Gal. 5, I Cor. 6, I John 2:3-6, 3:8-9)

Homosexuality and lesbianism is abnormal and unnatural, a sin and an abomination before God. It has nothing to do with a person’s heredity or genes, but is a choice made by that person driven completely by that person’s lust and temptation. Persons who engage in homosexual or lesbian acts or persons who advocate permissiveness in this area are hereby held to be in contempt of God’s ordinances. (Gen. 1:27-28, Lev. 18:22-30, Lev. 20:13,23, Deut. 22:5, Rom. 1:20-32, I Cor. 6:9-11, Gal. 5:16-24, Rev. 21:27)
