Community Preschool

Established over 30 years ago, the Community Preschool has a long-standing reputation for providing a well-rounded, high-quality program for young children.

Our program places a great emphasis on an individualized, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Through this approach, we provide a safe and nurturing environment, while promoting each child's physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.

Enrollment is open to children without regard to religious, racial, or ethnic background. Children entering the three or four year old program must be toilet trained.

Two year old program- Explorers (birthday by 12/01/14)
Three year old program- Voyagers (birthday by 11/01/14)
Four year old program- Pre-K Pioneers (birthday by 09/01/14)

The Community Preschool Pre-K curriculum is also based on the GEMS (Great Explorations in Math and Science) program. This program uses science and math concepts with a hands-on approach in all key areas of the classroom.

The Community Preschool is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Since 1985 NAEYC has offered a national, voluntary accreditation system to set professional standards for early childhood education programs, and to help families identify high quality programs. Today, NAEYC Accreditation represents the mark of quality in early childhood education.

Our preschool runs from 9:00 AM-12 Noon Monday through Friday with the option for your child to attend 5 days a week, 3 days a week, or 2 days a week. We offer an early morning program each morning from 7:30 AM - 8:45 AM, a lunch program from 12 Noon - 1:30 PM and a extended afternoon care program from 12 Noon - 5:15 PM.
