Community Soup Kitchen of Monroe

Originally called “Granny’s Kitchen”, this street ministry was the brainchild of Lillie “Granny” Goins, who fed those in need in various street locations using resources from her own kitchen. In the 20 years since its inception, this organization has provided meals and other assistance for thousands of needy individuals. Currently, meals are served to approximately 500 people on a monthly basis at The Community Soup Kitchen, which is now operated by the children and supporters of Granny Goins. This organization operates solely on the basis of financial and food donations. We invite volunteers, food, and/or monetary donations to help keep Mrs. Goins' vision alive.
