Owner and Instructor Janet DiPirro, ABCDT, LVT has devoted her life to learning, embracing, and sharing her knowledge of canine behavior.
She has been a certified dog trainer for more than 15 years, a professional dog groomer for more than 30 years, and a licensed veterinarian technician for more than 20 years.
Janet believes that the human-dog relationship should be thoroughly enjoyed and that there is always a way to meet the expectations of the human, while increasing the happiness of the dog.
A new resident of Boyne City, Janet is excited and passionate about sharing her years of experience with you!
All training at Northern K-9 University is built around positive reinforcement and NON PHYSICAL punishment. The training programs have been built on scientific learning theories that will help you to understand pack mentality and communicate effectively with your pet so that together you meet each other's expectations. We believe that dog training is about trust, not control, with the goal of building a relationship that allows for your pet to become a well balanced, reliable companion.

We offer a variety of services to meet the needs of your family including group classes, behavioral modification instruction, clinics, and private instruction.
