Classes are 4 hours classroom instruction, 1 hour range instruction and 3 hours practical application. Classroom instruction follows the CLEET prescribed curriculum and includes discussion of the Oklahoma Self Defense Act, The application process for Concealed Weapons License, and Handgun Safety. Students must pass a written safety test.
Range instruction includes how to grip a pistol, stance, sight alignment and sight picture, trigger control and breath control. The purpose of this instruction is not to create a marksman, but to familiarize the student with basic marksmanship principles.
Range practical application includes a course of fire of 30 rounds for familiarization and 20 rounds for qualification. All students who complete these tasks safely and can demonstrate an ability to load, unload and fire their pistols will qualify.

Class fee $50, payable in advance via paypal or credit card/debit card. Instructions for paypal payment can be sent via email or text. Credit card payments can be made over the phone or in person. No refunds, one reschedule with prior notice.

Items needed for training:

Classroom: Pen and notebook, Driver's license with current address, Proof of exemption from range portion if applicable (military and law enforcement see OSBI for eligibility and required documentation)

Range: Handgun (.45 caliber maximum), 50 rounds of ammunition, hearing protection , eye protection, ball cap or other hat with brim, clothing appropriate for weather. Range portion is outdoors and conducted in all weather except thunderstorms. Loaner handguns available in .380 acp or .40 S&W for additional cost of $20 including ammo.
