Congress Avenue Kayaks

Congress Avenue Kayaks invites our downtown neighbors, workers, and visitors to Lady Bird Lake in fabulous downtown Austin to paddle a stand-up paddleboard or a kayak and see the super city skyline, the rowers gliding by, the swans, the fishing folks, and more. Open everyday, with last boats of the day launched one hour prior to closing. Located right on Lady Bird Lake in the city's new Waller Creek Boathouse next to Congress Avenue Bridge, we specialize in getting the first-time kayakers on the water, with easy to use stand-up paddleboards and kayaks for the novices and experienced kayakers.

Need a group reservation or want to join our Bat Tour? Call us today or reach out to us via email. Our last boats launch one hour before closing. The boathouse has indoor restrooms and refreshments in the upstairs Alta's Cafe. We are open every day, so let us help you get on the water. Parking is recommended at 600 River Street at the public lot next to the Mexican American Cultural Center, one block east of the boathouse.
