Contracted Provider of Kansas City Child Support Services for Kansas DCF

The Kansas Child Support Services - Kansas City Office (CSS) helps children receive the financial support necessary for their growth and development. The program assists by establishing parentage and orders for child and medical support, enforcing child support orders, and modifying support orders as appropriate.

The Kansas Child Support Services - Kansas City office is operated by Veritas HHS, under contract to the Department for Children and Families. We are located in downtown Kansas City and serve primarily families that reside in Wyandotte County.

CSS automatically serves families receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), foster care, medical assistance, and child care assistance. Assistance from CSS is also available to any family regardless of income or residency, who applies for our services.

We also recognize that many non-custodial parents (NCPS) have barriers that prevent them from supporting their children as required by court orders. The CSS Kansas City Office helps non-custodial parents improve their financial situation and increase their ability to support their child. We have a dedicated Resource Coordinator to refer non-custodial parents to locally based community organizations dedicated to helping people gain independence. There is no fee for these services.
