The Company was founded by Lauren Cooksey, who was trained in photography by the late Stephen Charles. She fell in love with black and white, warm-toned photography. She worked out of her home studio for many years. She began by offering group rates when hosts brought people together to share in the fees of a location shoot. With 20 years experience working in CT, MA, RI, NJ, Cooksey Photo is well known for the "Cooksey" warm- tone black and white style look. With our nationwide sub- division company Cooksey Keepsakes (for 8 years), We founded that company with the intention of taking the "Cooksey" look nationwide, through the party plan business model. Along the way, we have enjoyed many successful opportunities, and have built many relationships that we cherish. With Cookey Keepsakes we were featured on ABC's The View, and Woman's World Magazine as the most popular party plan business for stay at home moms. Cooksey Photo was the original photography business that inspired Cooksey Keepsakes, continues to offer the “Cooksey style” photography service and products everyone has come to know and love, at the Ellington, CT Studio.
