Statement of Faith
The Holy Scriptures

We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible; in the inerrancy and infallibility of Scripture; and in the Bible’s absolute authority. We use the King James Version for worship services and classes.
The Godhead

We believe that there is one, and only one, God, Who is the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. We believe that there are three persons in the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and, that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.
Creation

We believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24-hour periods. We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin.
Salvation

We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace through the mediatorial work of the Son of God, Who became a sinless man, and Who by His death made a full atonement for our sins. We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must be born again, an instantaneous event in which one dead in trespasses and sins is made a partaker of the divine nature and receives eternal life. We believe that one receives the new birth through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and His work of atonement. We believe that repentance is a personal act, prompted by the Spirit, and consists in a godly sorrow for sin as offensive to God and ruinous to the soul. We believe that faith is the channel through which Christ is received by the soul as its sacrifice and Savior.
Sanctification

We believe that sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of His holiness; that it is a progressive work; that it is begun in regeneration; that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
Perseverance of the Saints

We believe that all who are truly regenerate will not utterly fall away and finally perish, but will endure unto the end.
The Church

We believe that the local church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is solely made up of born-again and scripturally baptized persons. We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control.
Baptism

We believe that Christian Baptism is the immersion in water of a Believer in Christ, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as a testimony of one’s faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior, and of its effect, death to sin and resurrection to a new life; and that it is prerequisite for church membership and the Lord's Supper.
The Lord’s Supper

We believe that the Lord's Supper is the partaking of unleavened bread and grape juice, symbols of Christ's body and blood, by members of the local church, in commemoration of the suffering and death of their Lord.
The Resurrection and Return of Christ

We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ, the ascension and High Priesthood of Christ, the second coming of Christ, and the millennial reign of Christ.
The Eternal State

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment.
Separation

We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord. God commands His people to separate from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations, and to refrain from all immodest and immoderate appearances.
