Screening, Intake and Orientation:
Cornerstone of the Palm Beaches provides chemical dependence evaluations to individuals who are referred from a variety of sources in the community. Clinicians who have been trained in substance abuse conduct both the chemical dependency evaluation and the general intake interview.
Evaluations and Assessments:
The assessment will help the client understand the severity of his/her substance abuse problem and the importance of enrolling in a recovery program.
Urinalysis:
Upon admission and at random based on the discretion of clinicians, urinalysis may be conducted in order to provide accountability.
Counseling/Therapy:
Client will attend at least two group therapy sessions daily and one individual counseling session per week in order to address individuals needs and issues associated with his/her recovery.
Relapse Prevention:
An essential part of the recovery process is to promote the development of coping skills conducive to reduce the possibility of relapse among clients.
Program Duration:
The program duration is a minimum of 3 months to ensure clients have enough time to gain clinical progress, address triggers, develop coping skills and rebuild healthy relationships that will foster a sober support network upon successful completion of the program. Aftercare resources will be offered based on the individual's needs.
