More about Corpus Christi Army Depot

The Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) has a critical mission to meet the Army’s vertical-lift requirements to extend helicopter service life well into the future. Known as the core of Army Aviation’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) for helicopters, engines and their components; CCAD delivers the highest quality product on time and at the lowest possible cost to ensure military readiness in any climate.

Since its inception in 1961, CCAD has grown to become the largest tenant organization on Naval Air Station Corpus Christi (NASCC) with more than 58 acres, 2.3 million square feet of industrial space and sixty buildings and hangars, many of which have gone largely unchanged since they were built in 1941.

CCAD’s civilian workforce of over 4,000 skilled employees and contractors go to the depot every day to produce indispensible military aircraft for the customer. Though there are only seven Active Duty employees, 48% of the workforce is veteran, reflecting the ilk of some of the most committed patriots in the nation.

Outside of the depot, CCAD supports the Army’s accident investigation processes with subject matter expertise and reliable laboratory analysis anywhere in the world. CCAD artisans deploy all over the world to assess, evaluate and repair forward-deployed aircraft and components, including forward capabilities. The depot even serves as a training ground for Active, Reserve and National Guard, providing invaluable maintenance instruction and hands-on experience to the Joint Warfighter.

Partnerships with private industry and original equipment manufacturers have been integral at the depot and includes some of the major influencers in aviation, including Boeing Aerospace Support, General Electric Aircraft Engines, Honeywell International Corporation and Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation.

CCAD is supported by the Army Working Capital Fund. It is a subordinate command of Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command (AMCOM) that serves under the Army Materiel Command (AMC) in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

Whether it’s support for the Joint Service, Special Operations, Homeland Security or Foreign Military, CCAD provides exceptional products and services by the most talented artisans and partners in the business.
