In 1971, the United States Congress recognized Mustangs as “living symbols of the historic and pioneer spirit of the West, which continue to contribute to the diversity of life forms within the nation and enrich the lives of the American people.” As such, the Mustang is a fitting mascot to represent the Country Place students and community. Serving the city of Tolleson, Arizona, founded in 1912, Country Place embraces the Tolleson motto: “Honoring our past, positioning our future.” Our students are a link to our rich heritage and the spirit of the West. Through education, we are positioning our most valuable treasure, our children, for a bright future. Working together as parents, educators, and community leaders toward that common goal, our lives and our community continue to be enriched as we look forward to Tolleson’s next 100 years.
