WHO WE ARE
Constructed in the summer of 1867 by a group of Methodists, Baptists, and Old School Presbyterians, the Covell Community Church stood and served these faithful individuals for 44 years. In 1911, the building was said to be destroyed by either a fire or a tornado. It was quickly rebuilt and reopened in 1913. Aside from various cosmetic changes and structural upgrades, it remains the same historic building with and ever increasing number of new members and attendees.
The Covell Community Church is a non-denominational Bible-believing fellowship under the Lordship of Jesus Christ,
the discipline of the Holy Spirit, and the guidance of God Almighty. The church has stood for over a century upon the foundation of God's Written Word; from the Scriptural message of salvation and its accompanying Sacraments of baptism and the Lord's Supper, to the very truths that teach all of mankind. We will continue to stand upon these principles until our Savior comes again.
We believe wholeheartedly that a church home should feel like your family home, and we believe that you will feel like part of God's family when you see and experience the Covell Community Church.
