Covenant Churches of East Texas

We are a diverse ministry filled with people from all walks of life. From suits to shorts, we all join together creating the culture of Covenant Church.

Covenant Churches of East Texas, intimately referred to as CCOET, is a work started under the leadership of Pastors Jan and Susan Pate of Covenant Church on the Hill in Rusk, TX. Bishop Thomas Elton Pate, Sr. and his wife Glendale Pate, the parents of Jan, began building their ministry in Rusk in 1963, which later became First Church on the Hill under the direction of Jan and Susan in 1997, and now recently renamed Covenant Church on the Hill. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Jan began to invision a Spirit-filled church in Nacogdoches and in Jacksonville that would fulfill the 50 year-old prophecy of a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon this community. In February of 2010, God opened up numerous doors to confirm this vision, and in June of the same year, God began to build exactly what He wanted. We are an apostolic ministry that focuses on guiding the children of God to the discovery of His purpose in their lives, families, and ministries.
