The church was founded in 1845.
Covington Baptist Church exists to make fully devoted disciples of Christ Jesus through these six priorities:

EXALT God through worship, Matt 22:37-38, Acts 2:43,47

EVANGELIZE the world through proclamation and missions. Matt 28:18-20

EQUIP believers thru teaching and mentoring. Ephesians 4:11-13, Mark 3:13-15

EDIFY others through ministry and service. Matthew 22:39; Galatians 5:13

ENCOUNTER God through prayer. Acts 2:42, 1Thessalonians 5:17

ENCOURAGE one another through fellowship Hebrews 10:23-25
