I am an artistic Jack of All Trades, and I find inspiration everywhere. I have always loved art. I paint, take photographs, write poetry, short stories, historical prose, handpaint shoes/boots/handbags, make jewelry, create various crafty things, make Baba Luba Nut Dolls, and much more! I am a juried photographer in the Hamilton County Artists' Association. Recent excitements are: 1) an Indiana Arts Commission Individual Artist Project grant (FY2017); 2) getting ready to publish my 3rd volume of poetry; 3) editing and publishing the 2018 edition of The Polk Street Review anthology; 4) commission project for Conner Prairie (painting Halloween designs on eight rain-barrel train cars); 5) painting "Like Johnny and June" merchandising rights purchased by a music duo; 6) "River" won 2nd place in Blue Mountain Arts' 23rd Poetry Contest; 7) "Upper Pontalba Building" photograph selected to be a 72"x48" "window" effect in the coffee shop of the Reily Companies corporate headquarters in New Orleans (Reily owns Luzianne, CDM coffees, French Market Coffees, and New England Coffee and Tea, to name a few!); 6) a commissioned painting of Bruce Wayne's wall safe from the 1960s TV show Batman for comic book author Mark Waid; and 5) that's a long enough list, right??

As a child, I was diagnosed with an incurable lung disease, so my own physical limitations have challenged my life in many ways. Nevertheless, I find myself constantly creating: I cannot seem to stop! I am happy creating. I paint images from inspirations I find in photographs (some my own, some from friends, dreams, poetry, songs ~ you name it! I live in Noblesville with my husband. I have a Master’s Degree in Anthropology (yep, I've had no art classes whatsoever since an High School art class in the late 1970s!). You can find my artwork at various local venues, including The Birdie Gallery/Hamilton County Artists' Association, Logan Street Sanctuary, Love's Hangover, 1 of One Gallery, and Nickel Plate Arts.
