More about Creative Framing & Gallery

Creative Framing & Gallery has been framing for over 30 years, and have attended a framing school so we can properly frame your art for you to enjoy many years to come. All art brought to our shop or picked up will be handled in a way not to damage it. It will be stored in a protective sleeve and placed in a flat file drawer till we frame it. When your order is complete we will package your frame in a clear plastic bag so you can see the framing. We want you to be satisfied, if not we will correct it. We keep in-stock many different frames and mats so we can have your frame package ready in one week or less if it is something we have in stock, if something we don’t have in stock it will take about two weeks as we pick up from our supplier about every two week. This saves a lot on shipping therefor we can keep the price lower for you. If you need something fast to meet a deadline let us know we will work with you to get it out as soon as possible. From time to time a frame or mat may be discontinued without our knowledge of it, or the item may be out of stock and on backorder from our supplier, in either case we will notify you and if backordered we can give you a proximate date that our supplier will have it. You can change the frame, or if you request to drop the order any deposit will be refunded.
All our frames are complete with dust cover on back, and bumpers on the two lower corners to hold the frame off the wall, this allows air circulation behind the frame and helps prevent dust lines on the wall. The hanging wire on the back of the frame is a nylon coated stainless steel wire attached with D hangers and screws, we don’t use screw eyes unless the frame diameter is less than ¾ inches. All frames are cut 1/8 inch bigger than the size ordered to allow for the material including the glass to expand due to humidity changes.
Conservation framing includes conservation mats, glass and backing materials including the dust cover, and the art is attached using the conservation method. This type of framing should be used when framing limited edition prints, original art, unreplaceable items, or any item that may go up in value over time.
Regular framing includes framing decorative art, posters, or photo’s that can be replaced and intended to be changed in five years or less. Although this method is not considered conservation framing we still use all acid free products to attach the art and fill the back, we do not use cardboards in any of our framing. The dust cover on the back is regular paper in brown or black. Regular mats will turn brown along the cut bevel over time and may burn the artwork, especially hung where there is sunlight or florescent light, or in high humid conditions. Any time a frame is hung where it will be exposed to sunlight or florescent lights conservation glass should be used as light will speed up the detrition process.
Any time you have a question about the method that should be used give us a call or email us, we will be glad to answer any questions that you may have.
