Crescent City Del Norte Sea Cruise Classic Car Show

The annual Crescent City-Del Norte County Sea Cruise Classic Car show is held every year over Columbus Day weekend in October; this year it is October 6-8, 2017. It is the 26th anniversary and looks to be a great event. The Crescent City-Del Norte County Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Knights Car Club are partnering again to bring the streets alive during this weekend with loud motors and bright chrome. The festivities kick off on Friday evening October 6th from 4-6pm with a show and shine in downtown Crescent City on 3rd Street.

After the show and shine, and back for a third year, is a classic car sanctioned cruise from 6-8pm. The cruise is part of "Blues, Brews, and Cruise", held Friday night from 5-9pm in downtown Crescent City with Blues talent Brad Wilson and the Rollin' Blues Thunder Band and featuring our two local breweries Port O' Pints Irish Pub and SeaQuake Brewing showcasing their craft beers.

The show and shine and the cruise are a great time to see a few of the cars that are in the show but the main event comes Saturday at Beachfront Park. 300 plus cars will flood onto Front Street and file one-by-one into Beachfront Park. The main show is from 8am - 3pm and will include live performances, marketplace and food vendors, raffle, and more.

Saturday, after the car show, head over to the Del Norte County Fairgrounds for a dinner and dance featuring the band "California Dreamin'". Dinner starts at 6pm; the dance runs 7-11pm.

Last but not least, is the Sunday morning poker run put on by the Del Norte Senior Center. You don't need a classic car for this one! This is a fun drive filled with games and excitement, ending at Lucky 7 Casino in Smith River with awards. Contact Charlene Mazzei, 707-464-3069, for information.
