Crossbearers Youth and Young Adult Weekend

Our youth and young adult ministry will be holding its annual “Crossbearers’ Conference” on November 15th, 16th, and 17th. This conference has proven to be one that has instilled a firm spiritual foundation for many youth over the years. The activities for the upcoming weekend are as follows:

Friday, November 15th (7:00 pm) will be our Young Adult Night. All young (and young at heart) will gather for an exciting service which will feature a dynamic speaker, Evangelist Valencia Austin of First Baptist Church, Jefferson Park of Newport News, VA. Following the service we will be opening our first Crossbearer’s Coffeehouse and Lounge at the Holiday Inn Bells Road. The lounge will feature gospel music and poetry with a laid back feel (Cost is $5 per person. Open for ages 18 and up).

Our Teens are in charge on Saturday, November 16th (12:00 pm). Come pep rally ready as we cheer for the Lord! Our speaker for the afternoon is the thought—provoking Minister Quentin Smithers of First Church of Christ Holiness, U.S.A. of Freeman, VA. Afterwards, we will be holding our annual Turkey Bowl Flag Football Tournament (food will be served). If you are interested in entering your youth / teens /young adults in the tournament, please contact us by November 14th.

The conclusion of our conference will take place on Sunday, November 17th. Our youth are in charge of our morning service (11:00am). Our very own Elder J.Kyle Nicholson will be closing out the service with a word that will truly impact and inspire our youth to be Crossbearers.
