The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. We have sought to build a program that will best prepare participants for any physical activity. Our athletes practice and train the major lifts: Deadlift, squat, press, clean, and snatch. Similarly, we seek to master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, handstands, dips, and rope climbs. We also bike, run, and row hard and fast. Our workouts are short and intense and we mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow.
CrossFit is also the community that arises when people do these workouts together. In fact, the communal aspect of CrossFit is a key component of why it’s so effective.
